Lake Seminole is fishing great right now considering the conditions. The water is higher than it’s been in a really long time due to all of the recent rains. The traditional red rattle trap bite is on fire as is the chatter bait bite. There’s also a migration of prespawn fish moving to the deep grass points and channel swings in a spring creek.
A deep diving Jenko CD20 crankbait and a Carolina Rig Big Bite Finesse worm are 2 good baits to catch these fish. With old man winter beating down on the south right now these patterns should hold up all the way through January and February. As always several days of warm weather on lake Seminole can move more and more fish into these places. Keep the trolling motor on high and cast and wind until you find the mother load. Tight lines everybody! – MB
